Sports Design Group were engaged by Limonta Sports Australia to complete the design and documentation for the new synthetic soccer facility.
The new soccer pitch is 100x66m with 3m runoff on all sides. The project involved stripping the existing natural turf pitch surface, reshaping the base and importation of new rock base to provide the foundations of the new pitch.
From there the typical Limonta Sports profile was implemented consisting of drainage cell, shockpad and the 50mm synthetic turf profile.
The project came with a number of challenges which required design solutions from Sports Design Groups expert design team, including matching in with the adjoining field and new pavilion.
Sports Design Group were engaged by Mike Smith and Associates to complete the detail design and documentation for the WH Robinson upgrades.
The upgrades included a new turf profile along with substantial subsoil drainage along with a new irrigation system.
